  • Undeposited funds keeps growing. Payments recorded but never matched to a deposit, so the account climbs and income gets counted twice.
  • Bank feed duplicates. A transaction entered by hand and then imported again, sitting in the file as two separate expenses.

QuickBooks Online and Desktop

The mechanics differ. The problems do not.

QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop fail in the same places. Undeposited funds, bank feed handling and forced reconciliations look different in each but cause the same damage. We work in both.

If you are moving from Desktop to Online, cleaning the file first matters more than usual. A migration carries every existing error across with it, and finding them afterward is harder than fixing them before.
